We were at the TUSKON Turkey –Pacific Foreign Trade Bridge.
231 foreign businessmen from 14 countries attended the Pacific Summit organized in Istanbul on 06-09.04.2007 by the Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists of Turkey (TUSKON) establishing foreign trade bridges for development of the.
Rıza Nur Meral, President of the Confederation who addressed the guests on behalf 9 thousand 800 members said: “in this geography, 14 countries achieve a growth rate of 9 percent on the average hence develop three times faster then US and 5 times faster than Europe. 36 ministers and senior level bureaucrats, 231 businessmen and 16 reporters were invited to Turkey to evaluate this potential. It is expected that 6 thousand business interviews and contracts of 250 million dollars are conducted in two days with more than one thousand businessmen.”
Ahmet Eriş, Deputy Chairman of Board of Directors of BafraEriş Un said, “Our Company used to trade with many countries in this region. Our aim for participating in this organization is both to strengthen our relations with our friends and to add new countries for our portfolio. We are happy to have fulfilled this goal. We congratulate and thank everyone who gave efforts; we would like to make reservations now for similar activities to be conducted by TUSKON.”
